Jacqui and Matt eloped off the rugged East Coast of Tasmania, in Freycinet National Park. It was one of the most special elopements I've been lucky to be a part of, and it was't Plan A or Plan B even - it was Plan C. 

Plan A: I was set to shoot their wedding in the Sunshine Coast, however, with the majority of their family stuck interstate - they made the heartbreaking decision to postpone. When Jacqui and I first talked about the postponement and possible next moves, the idea of eloping just wasn't for her. I love weddings and elopements equally for different reasons, so I completely understand where she was coming from. Plan B: we decided to put their plans on the shelf, to wait and see how things progressed with time. 

A month passed by, and then - Plan C! Jacqui reached back out. They were still planning to take their honeymoon to Tassie, and asked if I would meet them down there for an elopement. They had a change of heart and decided it would be really special to get married on the honeymoon. Needless to say, I was 100% on board. I booked flights the next day, and kept all my fingers and toes crossed that there wouldn't be any lockdowns. I was en-route to Tassie a short four weeks later. 

The day itself was something out of a dream. Freycinet National Park is such a stunning park of the world, and Jacqui and Matt are two stunning humans - inside and out. We relaxed into the afternoon, feeling nothing but gratitude for how well everything came together. The only thing we could fault was how windy and chilly it was, but looking back - I wouldn't change a thing. Their vows were beautiful, and some of their family members even wrote them letters for the celebrant to read. They were full of love and great advice. Our portrait session was short and sweet, but we didn't need much time. The way they look at each other is just magic. We ended the evening with a cheeky outfit change and cake, which is the only way do end an evening - in my opinion!

Before heading home we did a quick day-after session back at their cabin, which has the coolest outdoor bathtubs on the patio. I'm just obsessed with this day and these two people! I'm already counting down to round two with their wedding xx
