Here we go again, yet another wedding where I loved every single aspect of the day. Well ...  I loved almost every aspect of this day. I can't say I loved the snap 4pm lockdown.  I hopped in my car the morning of the wedding - everything was fine + ready to go. By the time I got to Noosa - I got the news we were locking down. We had 5 hours. Five hours to do a wedding that was planned to take 10. Somehow, despite that announcement - the day was a dream and everything came together perfectly.

Ash and I had been in touch since the start of the pandemic, and her wedding was one I had been dreaming of from the moment she booked. Exchanging probably hundreds of dm's - we became fast friends, despite not actually meeting til the wedding day. She's an event planner herself, and has planned for the likes of Gigi Hadid and Rhianna while living in the UK. I just knew her day was going to be extra special! Due to border restrictions and lockdowns, their guest list dwindled from 130, to 90, to around 40 on the day. Ash and Joe rolled with the punches and didn't let missing loved ones or the snap lockdown dampen their spirits one bit. They were simply so happy to finally be married! By the time 4pm rolled around, speeches had just finished and everyone had a chance to give the couple a quick hug goodbye. Then, we jetted off to the beach just myself, the couple and their video team for a scaled-back portrait sesh. In this case, a beach that is normally SO busy - was totally empty. A small silver lining that came from the lockdown. We shot until the light was gone, and then headed back home for a cheeky cake cut before goodbye hugs.

From a handmade wedding dress by Ash's grandmother, to the gorgeous blooms + styling - this day is packed full with inspiration.
