It's the story of nearly every single wedding planned for 2020. Vic + Dan had an old cigar factory in Spain booked, with 200 guests invited, for their 2020 destination wedding. Dan explained the significance around cigars + the venue they chose was influenced heavily by his childhood. He grew up in Europe, and has many fond memories sharing cigars with his grandfather. Even so, after 11 years together, two wedding attempts + cancellations, they told the pandemic to f*ck off & eloped in secret at the gorgeous Agnes Restaurant in Brisbane city! It was laid-back, full of laughs + infused with their epic style.
Josh Withers led the ceremony for The Elopement Collective , and Amber from Mrs. Gibbons provided the blooms. Amber also hung around to be a witness for the couple's paperwork, which was extra special. Victoria's dress stole the show, and it's not hard to see why. It's probably the most uniquely stunning dress I've ever seen or shot. Dan's custom-designed suit was a close second. Aesthetics aside, Vic and Dan were simply delightful. They were warm, joyful and oh-so in-love! There was a deep-rooted sense of friendship and respect, which was obvious to everyone present.
Post-ceremony they shared a glass of wine and couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces. Vic was very clear that they didn't want "weddingy-wedding" photos - they wanted photos that screamed "f*ck it, we're married." So that's exactly what we did! The final result was this delicious gallery - enjoy x
